I graduated from Moorhead High School in 1983. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Valley City State University in 1986.

I have been teaching since 1986. I started teaching 3rd grade in McIntosh, SD. Following that I taught 3rd and 4th grade in Reeder, ND.  In 1992 I started at  Roosevelt in second grade followed by third grade up until I became an instructional coach. I became an instructional coach in 2014. I work with teachers throughout the entire district from early childhood through high school and ALC.

My husband Steve teaches 9th grade chemistry at Detroit Lakes High School.  My children are Kyle (wife Jenn) with sons Easton and Brooks as well as Tyler (wife Kelsey) with daughters Brynley and Brielle.  I enjoy teaching, spending time with my family, working with computers, golfing, taking pictures, sitting by the ocean, but most of all being a grandma. My favorite quote is, "Kids don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." -Teddy Roosevelt. I also live by the belief that you should smile often and laugh every day!
