In Seminar, the DLHS 9th graders participated in an exciting and valuable learning experience: a mock interview session! Students worked hard on creating their resumes, writing cover letters, and completing job applications, all while learning the important skills needed to present their best selves in a professional setting. From perfecting their handshake to answering tough interview questions, they were ready to impress!
A big THANK YOU to our amazing Work-Based Learning Coordinator, Vern Schnathorst, for organizing this event and to the generous community members who donated their time to serve as interviewers. Your support means the world!
We can't get over how spiffy and elevated our freshmen looked! The professionalism they displayed is just the beginning of the bright futures ahead of them!

American Indian Education took a trip to Alexandria Technical and Community College on Tuesday. Students from the High School and ALC had a tour of the campus and learned extensively about a variety of programs including mechatronics (robotics), beginning and advanced welding, healthcare fields, carpentry, the law enforcement program, and more! It was a busy day that also included a financial aid session where students learned more about the options available to help pay for college and other unique opportunities currently available to students.
A big thank you to ATCC for the great experience for our students and for the pizza lunch!
